Terms and Conditions
Prices do not include delivery, in transit insurance, sales or other taxes, uncrating,
installation or other assembly. Gregg Lipton Furniture, Inc. (GLF) reserves the right
to change prices.
Terms
All orders require a written purchase order with a fifty percent (50%) deposit to
initiate production, with the balance due upon completion and prior to shipping the
order. Each order will be processed as indicated on GLF Invoice Sheet and is the final
agreement with GLF and supercedes all prior written and oral data regarding said order.
In the event that the delivery is delayed by the customer, the order is to be paid in
full upon completion.
Changes
Change orders will be accepted at the discretion of GLF and must be submitted in writing
by the customer. GLF will then submit a change order proposal to the customer describing
the change, the resulting price and schedule affects. The customer must return a signed
copy before the change is initiated.
Cancellations
GLFs acceptance of an order is final and binding. We will allow cancellation of an order
after confirmation and prior to shipping, but will retain the customers fifty percent
(50%) deposit as a condition of cancellation. Delivered orders may not be returned for
any reason whatsoever except when repair or replacement is indicated.
Delivery
Delivery can usually be accomplished within 12 to 16 weeks from deposit, provided there
are no delays upon our submission of shop drawings for approval. Additional time may be
required due to the scope and detail of a project, in which case we will do our best to
meet your delivery requirements. Delays in delivery will not constitute a cause for
cancellation or contract price reductions. GLF will not be responsible for delays caused
by outside contractors, suppliers, or any conditions beyond our control. GLF does not
assume any responsibility or liability where site conditions prevent the delivery of
said project. It is the responsibility of the customer to determine that the size of
completed projects can clear doorways, elevators, etc. GLF is not responsible for arranging
local installation, or for assembling of those projects shipped unassembled.
Shipping
Shipping and insurance are not included in our price unless noted in the contract. Unless
complete shipping instructions are given by the customer, GLF will select the carrier. We
typically use a number of high quality blanket-wrap art movers. We can also offer crating
and overnight express deliveries.
Claims
All furniture is shipped at the owners risk after it has been carefully inspected, packed,
and accepted by the carrier. Before accepting merchandise from the carrier, inspect carefully
and note any product loss or damage on the delivery receipt. If there is loss or damage make
immediate claim with the carrier, or in some cases, and only on prior approval from GLF, return
the product immediately to GLF for repairs. In the case of concealed damage, keep the packing
materials and notify the carrier immediately.
